Two found dead in Kennerly Road home
By LEE HENDREN, T&D Staff Writer Thursday, May 08, 2003Two people have been found dead in their home northwest of Orangeburg, apparently from gunshots, Orangeburg County Sheriff Larry Williams said Wednesday night.
One victim was a male and the other was a female, said Williams, who declined to release their names or relationship to each other "until we can notify next of kin."
The sheriff said he was informed that about 6:15 or 6:30 p.m., a family member arrived at the residence on Kennerly Road, approximately a mile and a half north of North Road, and found the victims on the floor, having suffered "what is believed to be handgun wounds."
The individual immediately left the house and called authorities, said Williams, adding that he and Sgt. Kenneth Kinsey are leading the investigation.
"We haven't ruled anything out at this point," Williams said. "We plan to work through the night to try to piece this together."
