Community Chest/United Way Campaign kick-off Oct. 8

BAMBERG -- The kick-off for the 2003 Bamberg County Community Chest/United Way Campaign will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The meeting is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bamberg County Office on Aging located on Log Branch Road.

Community organizations that have been invited to participate in the kick-off include the American Red Cross, the Bamberg County Department of Social Services, Indian Council/Boy Scouts of America, the Bamberg County Office on Aging, the Bamberg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, the Cheez & Cracker Box, the Bamberg County Clemson Extension Service 4-H Program, Shalom Mission Zone, Bamberg County First Steps, Voorhees College Early Head Start Program and Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Refreshments will be served.

The monthly board meeting will follow the kick-off at 5 p.m.
