COURT SUMMARY: Man pleads guilty to fraud, burglary

Raymond Dumpson, 48, of 12405 Old Highway 6, Eutawville, pleaded guilty to one count of financial transaction card fraud and one count of second degree burglary in General Sessions Court last week.

Circuit Court Judge Jackson Gregory sentenced Dumpson to five years on the financial transaction charge and 10 years on the second degree burglary charge. The sentences are to run concurrently and he was given credit for time served.

Others pleading guilty last week included:

-- Christopher Aiken, 23, of 2088 Muriel St., Orangeburg, pleaded guilty to one count of malicious injury to real property and was sentenced to 30 days. He also pleaded guilty to one count of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and two counts of second degree burglary and was sentenced to three years on each charge. The sentences are to run concurrently and he was given credit for time served on each count.

-- Dwight Beckett, 18, of 476 Hubbard St., Orangeburg, pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest and was sentenced to one year to run concurrently with his probation revocation. He was given credit for time served.

-- Eddie Hampton, 55, of 11329 Ann St., Orangeburg, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and was sentenced to three years and given credit for time served.

-- Alexander McMichael, 35, of 208 Wren St., North, pleaded guilty to one count of failure to stop for a blue light and possession of crack cocaine and was sentenced to six months on each count. The sentences are to run concurrently and he was given credit for time served.

-- Alvin Richard Welsh, 52, of 535 Glen St. Lot 16-A, Gaston, pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery less than $5,000 and was sentenced to five years on each count, suspended to five years probation. The sentences are to run concurrently.

-- Rodney Allen Williams, 28, of 1635 Shirley St., Orangeburg, pleaded guilty to one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct and was sentenced to four years and given credit for time served.

-- John Daniel Follett, 18, of 31494 Low Country High, Smoaks, pleaded guilty to two counts of financial transaction card fraud and was sentenced to time served on those counts; and one count of financial transaction fraud and was sentenced to one year, suspended to two years probation. The sentences are to run concurrently.

-- Deborah Howell, 50, 107 Red Cedar Drive, Cordova, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and was sentenced to three years, suspended to three years probation.

-- Shelton P. Richardson, 23, of 116 Leahmon Lane, Orangeburg, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to crack cocaine and was sentenced to three years, suspended to two-and-a-half years probation; one count of resisting arrest and was sentenced to 30 days; and one count of public disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 30 days to be served on weekends.

The sentences are to run concurrently and he was given credit for time served.

-- Keilyn Singleton, 23, of 6 Lupine Circle, Norway, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine, first offense, and was sentenced to five years, suspended to three years probation, and was given credit for time served.

-- Troy Griffin, 29, of 1322 Unity Road, Holly Hill, pleaded guilty to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and was sentenced to three years, suspended to two years probation.
