Lester Driggers, 69, of North, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dwight Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Courtney Sr., Bill Courtney Jr., Jason Sterling, David Callahan, Ben Hebart and Larry Davis.

Mr. Driggers was born in Barnwell County. He served in the Army and National Guard. He was a member of St. George Baptist Church and was retired from Daniels Construction.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Knight Driggers of the home; a sister-in-law, Margaret Phillips of Orangeburg; a niece, Gail Tourville; a nephew, Ernie Phillips; and special friends, Bruce and Denise Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hudson, 5589 Savannah Highway, North.
