By T&D Staff Saturday, March 17, 2007ST. MATTHEWS -- The Calhoun Academy Lady Cavalier softball team picked up its first win of the season, 12-0 against St. John's Thursday in St. Matthews.
Winning pitcher for the Cavs was Jessica Orso while Brittney Irick and Allison Chavis each had two hits. CA will be back in action Tuesday at home against Holly Hill Academy.
- OPS tennis falls to Williamsburg
The Orangeburg Prep tennis team fell to Williamsburg Academy 8-1 Thursday. Victor Liao and Hutner Lake were the bright spot for the Indians winning a doubles match 8-4. OPS is back in action today at home against Cardinal Newman.
- Indians blast Cardinal Newman
COLUMBIA -- The Orangeburg Prep Indian baseball team ripped Cardinal Newman Wednesday night 18-7 to improve to 1-0 on the season. Winning pitcher for OPS was Mason Toole who went five innings. Leading hitters were Ryan Salley, three hits; Brad Felder, two hits, three RBI; Lawrence Fogle, two hits, RBI; Dillan Way, two hits; Zack Huggins, two hits.
OPS will face Laurence Manning Academy tonight at 7 p.m. in Orangeburg.
