LEXINGTON – Officials in Lexington County are investigating a construction accident that left one worker dead Tuesday when his roller overturned.

Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said Pascual Francisco was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at a construction site on the 5300 block of Sunset Boulevard.

Witnesses told authorities Francisco was operating a roller used for paving when it overturned around 2:45 p.m. The victim was pinned underneath the heavy equipment.

Harman said the victim died of multiple body trauma.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington Police Department are continuing their investigation into the accident.
