Cox Industries Inc. has acquired the rights to LifePine shakes and shingles.

Cox Industries, Inc. has acquired the LifePine patent, trade name and technology for the production of treated shakes and shingles made from southern pine.

LifePine shakes and shingles were formerly produced by C.M. Tucker of Pageland. Cox has decided to add LifePine to its product line after identifying a need in an existing market.“

“We are extremely pleased with the addition of LifePine products to our family of value-added building materials,” said Don Hunter, residential group leader for Cox. “We believe in the product and we feel there is tremendous potential for LifePine shakes and shingles for both residential and commercial applications.”

LifePine by Cox will be produced locally at Palmetto Manufacturing in Orangeburg and will be available at participating Cox distributors this month. Contact the Cox Industries sales department (1-800-476-4401) for additional information.
