Vintage cars restored to their original luster will be on display Saturday at the Edisto Cruisers’ “Cruising the Midway” car show.

The sixth annual event will be held from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Orangeburg County Fairgrounds. Cars of all makes and models and in a variety of vibrant colors will be featured, as enthusiasts who spent long hours and lots of money to make their cars, trucks, tractors or motorcycles the best display their finished projects.

Street rods and “rat rods,” original and custom, will be polished to a shine as the owners proudly show off their work for the public to enjoy. Prizes will be awarded to the best in each category.

A donation from the event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Collectibles and flea market treasures will be on sale, and food will be available. Door prizes will also be given away.

Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for senior citizens, and children 12 and under will be admitted free. In the event of rain, the vehicles will be placed in the fairgrounds’ covered buildings, and the show will continue.
