Two boys and a dog
By DELAYNE MILLER Friday, July 06, 2007Two young teenage boys broke into my trailer off Rowesville Road on June 28, early evening around 4 p.m.
I was in the shower and thought it was my husband coming in from work, so I did not realize there was any danger.
I have small dogs and a litter of Chihuahua-poodle puppies. They all were barking like crazy, so I should of known something was amiss.
I heard the door close shut and figured my husband went off to a neighbor's house. I then came into the living room and watched television.
Well, about and hour and a half later, my husband comes home and I asked him where he went. "Duh ... I was at work."
Before I got a chance to tell him that I must have been imagining things because I had heard him come in a couple hours ago, there was a knock on the door.
My neighbor asked us if everything was OK in our home. Dumbfounded, we answered, ''yes.''
Then she told us she seen two boys in the doorway. When they noticed her, they closed the door. A minute or so later they came back out and had something in their hand.
She asked them if they needed something.
They replied that they were from Rowesville and could she give them a ride to their parents' work in Orangeburg. She did not give them a ride because she knew something was not right.
After they left, she called the sheriff and told them that she thought the boys broke into my home.
An officer drove by and that was it. Nobody came in to see if anyone had been hurt or was at home. No report or anything!
Well, as soon as she said they came out with something, I checked the house. Nothing was disturbed or gone. Not the computer, X-box, DVD player, my purse (which was in plain veiw), nothing.
Then I thought, "Oh no, the puppies!" Those juvenile deliquents broke into my house and stole my beautiful chocolate brown pup, Zoey! I was going to keep her too! I love her so much and miss her already.
So whoever you kids are, you better take excellent care of her, because you just stole a piece of my heart along with her! I am so heartbroken.
Parents: If your sons came to your work with a cute brown Chihuahua puppy, under 1 pound, with a white patch on her chest, one floppy ear and the other turned up, well then that's my dog and please, please return her!
Honestly all they had to do was ask me for a puppy. I am giving them away.
I would have told them to have their parents call me to see if they could give one a good home.
I would have never let anyone have Zoey though.
Please return her. I will not press charges. I am positive that whatever punishment parents give them will be enough.
You can even leave her in the fencing in my yard! I really want her back.
We have already resolved the issue with the sheriff. I know that they can get really busy, but really, I could have been lying in here shot or something!
So if you know who has my 4-month-old puppy, please get them to give her back or contact me (LanaMiller1980@aol.com or 803-937-5257). Thank you.
Also, no matter if you are in your home or not, always keep your doors bolted!
