You'll have to make your own cockroach clusters, perhaps, or a chocolate frog, but there will plenty of popcorn and other munchies available at Camelot IV theaters when "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" hits the screen.
Camelot concessions specialist Jazmaine Jeffry says the theater has stocked up on movie munching supplies in preparation for Harry's, Ron's and Hermione's arrival on the silver screen today. And Jeffry should know what kind of popcorn supply is available.
"I'm the one who makes it!" Jeffry said. "A movie's not a movie without popcorn!"
The fifth movie of the planned seven book and movie Harry Potter series is due out today in theaters across the US.
And for the first time since the series began in 1997, a book is scheduled to be released in conjunction with a movie, creating a Harry Potter week. The seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," is to be released July 21.
Traditionally, each book and movie has been enthusiastically received across the world.
According to Wikipedia.com, the first book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," is the ninth best-selling book of all time. Internet Movie Database lists all four of the previous "Harry" movies in the Top 20 of all-time ticket sales.
Do the Camelot employees expect this movie to do just as well?
"Yep, sure do," Jeffry said. "I think it's going to be a pretty good movie."
Advance sale tickets in Orangeburg have been available for "Order" since last week. Some have been sold, but most tickets are expected to be sold this morning for shows later tonight, Camelot cashier Herbert Johnson said.
"They'll probably come in and buy their tickets for the 7 o'clock show," Johnson said. "So, it'll be sold out."
And will Johnson save a ticket for himself?
"It should be a good movie," he said, laughing.
The first show time today is 12:30 p.m. "Order" will be shown at 3:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
