T&D STAFF Report
Members of the Bethune-Bowman Junior ROTC program participated in the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge on June 7-12. The challenge was held at the McGrady Training Center at Fort Jackson.
The purpose of the program was to provide cadets with challenging, hands-on training in a military environment and develop good citizenship, leadership and patriotism. Cadets were provided with safe training that was both physically and mentally challenging.
The Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge serves to instill self-confidence and discipline in young men and women.
In addition, Bethune-Bowman cadets had the opportunity to meet more than 800 other JROTC cadets from approximately 50 high schools in North and South Carolina.
