"Clarendon Hall is a lot more physical than us," Griffith said after practice Tuesday afternoon. "They’ve got the number and the size."

Clarendon also has offensive threats like running backs Taeon Canty and William Bryant, who have gained over 1,300 yards on the ground combined. Their running game is something that Griffith is positive he and his players will see a lot of.

"They’re going to try to come in here and just run it all down our throats," Griffith said. "Whether we can stop them, time will tell."

The Bulldogs will face a lot of different distractions outside the lines as well. Many players will be taking exams during this week as the school celebrates its homecoming. Griffith believes that these distractions will not be a huge factor in how his players perform.

"I thought last week we had a lot of distractions because they had the fair, the Carolina ball game, and they didn’t have school that Friday and they adjusted to that," Griffith said. "They know what to expect and what to do.

"Things don’t bother them. They’re kind of laid back," he added. "I think they get it from our coaching staff."

While this game may is arguably one of the bigger games in the SCISAA 8-man division, Griffith has done his best to keep his players from focusing on just that.

"I told my kids that this is a really important game, but don’t put all your eggs in one basket," Griffith said. "We’re not playing it as the biggest game that has ever been played here."

In fact, the Bulldogs will face Florence Christian and Holly Hill Academy in their final two games of the regular season, both games that Griffith said would be tough tests.

The task this Friday for the Bulldogs is to win their contest with the Saints. With his team averaging nearly 39 points per game, Griffith feels that they’re going to need every bit of offensive production that they can get.

"I think they’re good enough that they could probably close us down," Griffith said. "Hopefully, we can outfox them one way or the other."

BOWMAN -- Going undefeated has not been easy for Bowman Academy and head coach Raysor Griffith. It won’t get any easier this Friday when they face another undefeated team in Clarendon Hall. The Bulldogs (8-0) are a smaller team compared to the Saints, according to Griffith, and that is something that concerns him.
