Seven stars from T&D region high schools will align in Conway to participate in the 60th Annual South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association North-South All-Star Game on December 8 in Brooks Stadium.

The North has defeated the South last year 24-0 to take their fifth victory out of the last six contests.

They look to continue their dominance over the south with the help of defensive lineman and Elite 11 selection Donte Rumph. The Calhoun County two-way standout ended his senior campaign with 71 tackles and 14 sacks as they prepare for first-round playoff action against Allendale-Fairfax on Friday. Saints head coach Walter Wilson believes the selection has not affected Rumph's mindset.

"Donte is a team player first," Wilson said in a phone interview. "He's focused on Friday. That's the kind of kid he is."

Rumph will be accompanied on the North roster by 6-2, 265-pound offensive lineman Erick Mobley from Pelion.

The South roster contains five region players including Taylor Wyndham from Swansea. Although Wyndham and the Tigers did not make the playoffs, Swansea head coach Van Lewis is happy that his Elite 11 player was selected.

"He'll get a chance to see what some .jpgf competition is like," he said. "It'll be a chance to show what he's got."

While the 6-4, 210-pound Wyndham will play at linebacker, Bamberg-Ehrhardt representative Chris Presley will line up as a wide receiver.

"He runs pretty good routes and runs extremely well," B-E head coach Ron Duncan said. "I'm just happy for him to have the opportunity."

Presley, another Elite 11 player who plays three different positions, has one catch for 35 yards and a touchdown at wide receiver for the Red Raiders, who will host North Central on Friday.

Allendale-Fairfax defensive back Alan Neblett will patrol the secondary for the South All-Stars.

Neblett finished the season with 57 tackles, three forced fumbles and three interceptions. Woodland offensive lineman David Ross and Blackville-Hilda offensive lineman Chris Brown will join Neblett in Conway for the All-Star game.

The North holds a 33-24-2 series lead heading into this year's matchup.

As Calhoun Academy, Orangeburg Prep and Holly Hill Academy prepare for first-round playoff teams, each team has a player who will compete in SCISAA's version of the Shrine Bowl.

Running backs Shandon Kemmerlin of Calhoun Academy and Mason Toole of Orangeburg Prep and linebacker Chance Shelley were selected to represent South Carolina in the third-annual Oasis All-Star Classic.

The game will take place Nov. 24 at Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. Much like the Shrine Bowl, which was co-founded by the Oasis Shrine organization, the participants will get to visit one of the Shriners' Hospitals and attend a Thanksgiving Day dinner with family members at its headquarters as well as an awards banquet the night before the game.

"It's an honor to have a player selected from your team," said HHA head coach and Chance's father Don Shelley, who was an assistant coach in the inaugural Oasis All-Star Classic in 2005. "As a dad, I'm proud too."

The younger Shelley leads the undefeated and 8-man Region 2-A champion Raiders with 94 tackles and five interceptions. They will open at home this Friday against Patrick Henry.

A three-year letterman, Kemmerlin has amassed 942 total yards and nine TDs for the Cavaliers who face Hilton Head Christian in St. Matthews. As for Toole, he's rushed for 804 yards and 14 touchdowns this season in helping the Indians place second in Region 2-AAA and earn a first-round home game against Heathwood Hall.
