Branchville advances to Lower State

BRANCHVILLE -- The Lady Yellow Jackets (25-4) are one step closer to clinching a volleyball state title after defeating Allendale-Fairfax 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-11.

Austin Kinard led the team with 28 points, seven aces, seven digs, and a block. Julie Beeks finished with 15 points, eight aces, and a dig. KaAnn Murray contributed 12 points, four aces, and 20 assists. Courtney Simmons totaled 13 kills and three kill blocks. Jamesha Koger added eight kills.

Branchville will host the winner of the Johnsonville/Academic Magnet match for the Lower State Championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
