Members of the S.C. State Board of Trustees met via teleconference and voted to not renew the contract of the university's president.

" I think that this whole situation is ridiculous. I know that we are college students and our vocabulary should be extensive enough to understand what is really going on. Looking at the information that has been given to the student body is very inconclusive. Also because of the time in which the issue was brought to the light, students were unable to focus their attention and support fully to our president. In my opinion, it is not quite clear to all of the student exactly what is going on. But I sadly admit that there are quite a few students that may not even care, basically because they don't know what is going on. "
