The Claflin University Family "partied with a purpose" at the annual Christmas at Dunwalton, a holiday party hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Henry N. (Alice) Tisdale, president and first lady of the university.

Faculty, staff and guests were asked to bring gift cards to donate to the American Red Cross.

Mrs. Tisdale donated $1,750 worth of gift cards to Cindy Smith, director of the Greater Edisto Chapter of the Red Cross, to be used toward the purchase of items for needy families. Pictured in the photo are, seated, left to right, Jean Harper, administrative assistant to the vice president of Academic Affairs, and Alice Tisdale; and, standing, Courtney McLeod and Smith.
