Women voters/On Hillary Clinton

Earline D. Williams of Denmark: "I think Hillary has a chance to be president. She can make a change because she has leadership skills. Also, her husband, I think, would be helpful to her because he was a wonderful president himself. He did a lot for us. I would have no problem with a woman president. They have taken over leadership roles, and why not now?"

Nancy Foster of Bamberg: "I think Hillary has a good chance of winning. She addresses the issues. She is the only one that has the qualities of experience - she is a Senator, was the First Lady to a U.S. president, and has traveled the world. She, of all the candidates, will get the job done. We need help in the economy, education and health care, which are big issues. I would be very comfortable with a woman president. Women are running the country now. Women are big; now is our time."

Gale Livingston of Orangeburg: "I think (Hillary Clinton) has a good chance, mainly because of her stance on the medical issues. The country is sad shape. I am not sure how I would feel having a woman president."

Debra Allen of Orangeburg: "Hillary Clinton is a strong person. This comes across in her interviews. She is self assured and has experience."

" There has been 43 Presidents, all MEN..The men running now include a black, a morman, a former minister, a former mayor, etc, but they are ALL men, just the same..Women had to wait 50 years more to vote after the black got to vote..How many years more do we have to wait until we have a woman president??? They always said that behind every good man is a good woman..I say that behind every good woman is a good man..In this case, we have hillary who has an extremely popular former president behind her..Yes, many black women are torn between voting for the first woman president or for a first black president,Obama....Well, if Obama wins, he would be the 44th MALE president..If Hillary wins, she would be the very FIRST woman..WHAT A CHANGE!!!!!
