Benedict ends Claflin Men's 17-game winning streak

COLUMBIA -- The Claflin men's basketball team had its 17-game winning streak brought to an end by Benedict, 62-55, Thursday.
Bennie Lewis had a game-high 19 points for Benedict (12-4) and Michael Holmes added 11. Ernest Sinkfield was the only player in double-figures for Claflin (18-2) with 17 points.
The Panthers travel to Miles College Sunday for a game that is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
