Benedict defeats Calflin women

COLUMBIA -- Benedict defeated Claflin 48-46 Thursday.
The Pantherettes fell to 14-6 with this loss.
Latoya Savage led the team with 12 points. Jayshaun Bailey added 11 points.
The Lady Tigers' top scorer was Sharita Motley with nine points. Latoya Brathwaite finished the game with eight points.
Benedict improves to 3-15.
Claflin will travel to Birmingham, Ala. to face Miles College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
