Alliance unveils branding for economic development
Sunday, February 10, 2008SouthernCarolina Alliance has announced a new economic development marketing campaign for Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell and Hampton counties based on the region's "Ce.jpgied Business Ready" assets.
According to SCA Chairman Kay Still, "Our ce.jpgied industrial sites, existing infrastructure and good Southeastern location were ide.jpgied as our foremost marketable strengths by some of the country's leading consultants in economic development and marketing, who assessed our counties over the last nine months in a regional study funded by the S.C. Power Team."
Based on these assets, SouthernCarolina Alliance is launching "Ce.jpgied Business Ready" as an economic development brand for the SCA region. The new slogan and ce.jpgication seal will be used in print advertising, billboards, presentations and marketing materials directed at prospects and other decision-makers, such as site consultants who choose the location for their industrial facilities.
"The consultants also cited the good work ethic of our labor force, our ability to offer the maximum tax and business incentives and our professional staff," Still said. "All of these factors can reduce costs for the client, bring speed to the start-up process and reduce risk in economic development projects."
According to SCA President Danny Black, "'Ce.jpgied Business Ready' has instant appeal to site consultants and prospects, as the term "ce.jpgied" is a well-recognized buzz word in economic development circles, immediately giving credibility and assurance to the client."
"We knew that our 10 state-ce.jpgied sites were assets in industrial recruitment," said Black, "and we have received excellent feedback on our ability to offer hands-on service to each project. This branding effort builds on these strengths."
The "Ce.jpgied Business Ready" brand refers to the SCA region's:
⢠Ce.jpgied Labor
⢠Ce.jpgied Sites
⢠Ce.jpgied Approval
⢠Ce.jpgied Incentives
⢠Ce.jpgied Acceptance
⢠Ce.jpgied Assistance
⢠Ce.jpgied Labor ties into the region's ability to deliver a qualified work force for the prospective client and highlights SouthernCarolina Alliance's regional WorkKeys ce.jpgication and testing program, which has been under way since 2007.
⢠Ce.jpgied Sites refers to the 10 state-ce.jpgied industrial parks in the area. This comprehensive process eliminates risk and delays for the prospect, from zoning to environmental.
⢠Ce.jpgied Approval advocates SouthernCarolina Alliance's ability to map out the permitting process and provide the state's leading experts to handle permitting and environmental questions for the client.
⢠Ce.jpgied Incentives refers to the region's ability to offer the highest tax incentives.
⢠Ce.jpgied Acceptance will demonstrate to the client that the local communities in the SCA region welcome innovative industries, and that the communities have planned industrial areas for industries with specific site requirements, such as buffered locations with rail access or isolation from heavy residential or retail areas.
⢠Ce.jpgied Assistance refers to SCA's hands-on approach to walking the client through the project and providing the most professional staff.
"In short, the Ce.jpgied Business Ready program conveys efficiency, low cost, credibility and the best possible conditions for the client in all of the factors ide.jpgied as important to prospects," Still said.
"This program gives our rural area an edge in today's competitive economic development arena, with thousands of economic development organizations competing for fewer and fewer projects," said Black, who added that the "Ce.jpgied Business Ready" brand will be unveiled throughout the region and in international marketing efforts over the coming months.
