Voorhees Lady Tigers defeat Allen

DENMARK -- The Voorhees College Lady Tigers were able to hold on to defeat the Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets 69-62 in a battle of former EIAC rivals in NAIA women's college basketball on Thursday night. Jennifer Perry led the Lady Tiger's attack with game-high 20 points. Brittney Whaley chipped in 11 points and LaTonya Gillespie added 10 points. The Lady Yellow Jackets were led by Ashley Lloyd, Ashley McCoy, and Brittney Jones all with 14 points. Voorhees led at the half 39-25. The Lady Tigers be in action at home on Saturday against Concordia College of Selma, Alabama. Game time is 3pm.
