Four candidates filed for county offices in The T&D region on Wednesday.
District 39 state Sen. John Matthews and Orangeburg County Councilman Heyward Livingston of District 3 will seek re-election to four-year terms in Orangeburg County.
In Bamberg County, two challengers are vying to take incumbent Sheriff Ed Darnell's job. Kenneth Bamberg and Douglas Strokes both filed Wednesday to run for sheriff. Darnell filed on Tuesday for reeelection to a four-year term.
All candidates filed as Democrats.
The filing period closes at noon March 30, with the partisan primaries scheduled for June 10.
