2 die after SUV flips on I-85 in Cherokee County
By The Associated Press Tuesday, April 22, 2008GAFFNEY - Authorities say the driver of a sports utility vehicle fell asleep before it ran off Interstate 85 in Cherokee County and flipped several times, killing two people.
Coroner Dennis Fowler says 16-year-old Nathaniel Resper Junior and 20-year-old Michael Sentell Davidson died from their injuries around 5 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers say both men were passengers in a 1992 Ford Explorer which ran into the median on I-85 north, then crossed the highway back to the right side of the road, running into a ditch and flipping several times.
Fowler says the five people in the vehicle were returning home from a Spartanburg nightclub.
