GREENVILLE, S.C. - A Montana woman accused of using stolen identities to dupe an Ivy League college into admitting her has been arraigned on new identity theft charges.

Federal prosecutor Walt Wilkins said Thursday that Esther Elizabeth Reed waived her right to have a new indictment on additional charges against her read in court.

Reed was indicted last year on charges that she used a missing South Carolina woman’s identity to get an Ohio ID and acceptance into Columbia University. Earlier this month, prosecutors amended that indictment to include additional charges for stealing other identities.

Wilkins said Reed remains in federal custody and will likely have a pretrial conference next month.

Reed’s attorney did not immediately return a phone message.
