Orangeburg student accepted into People to People program
Saturday, May 24, 2008Marissa Southerland, a student at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, will join a select group of students representing their schools, communities and countries as People to People student leaders when she attends the Future Leaders Summit on Medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, June 24-July 3.
Southerland was nominated and accepted based on scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. Summit participants will gain insight to guide their educational and professional careers through workshops, presentations, excursions and discussions.
