COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is requiring all people who want to drive a three-wheeled motorcycle to get a special certification.

The DMV used to allow anyone with a motorcycle license to get a waiver or the special certification to drive a three-wheel motorcycle or a bike with a sidecar. The agency eliminated the wavier this month.

Anyone wanting to drive a three-wheeled motorcycle needs either a C Endorsement allowing them to drive all types of motorcycles, or a D Endorsement restricting them to just three-wheeled motorcycles.
