Too much is too much with Tiger Woods

Re: “Without Tiger, golf’s no longer must see TV.”

I find the two articles in the June 19 sports section offensive and ludicrous.

Not taking anything away from Tiger Woods, he is a fantastic golfer and perhaps the best at the moment, but how can these columnists be disrespectful to all the other PGA great golfers out there?

The content of Tim Dahlberg’s column shows that sponsors only care about their money. The fact that Tiger played under the physical conditions that he did, despite doctors’ recommendation and with stress fractures of the tibia, doesn’t show any common sense on his part either. This doesn’t reflect a positive image for kids that he so wants to encourage. Nor does this attitude that the other golfers don’t warrant the same attention speak well either.

Come on people, give us folks some credit. I for one enjoy watching the “other” greats as well ... maybe it’s about time to give them a chance to shine as well.

" I don't watch golf when tiger woods is on or near the top of the leader board. I could care if he never plays another day. Good by. "
