Sunlight Club honors local women for making a difference
Monday, July 21, 2008The Sunlight Club recently celebrated Women's History Month with the theme "Women Making a Difference in the Orangeburg Community."
The focus for the month was "Cooperation -- To Work Together for a Common Cause." The five women honored for their work in the community were Margaret Roberts, community service; Barbara Glover, education; Ida Dash, service to the Sunlight Community Center; Cathy Gordon, leadership; and, center, Geraldine Zimmerman, local, state and national leadership.
The Sunlight Club recognizes black women who make a difference in the organization at all levels.
