Orangeburg man jailed in Aiken on lewd act charge

An Orangeburg man is currently being held in an Aiken jail following allegations he fondled two children while working in Salley.

According to a report by The Aiken Standard, Dale Sengelman in being held on a lewd act charge after allegations that he touched the juveniles in a sexual manner and talked about sex with them.

Sengelman, 54, of Charlotte Circle was arrested in Aiken on Sunday, July 27. According to the Aiken County Detention Center's Web site, he had not been released as of July 30.

Sengelman has a heavy build, has white hair and blue eyes. According to The Aiken Standard, children call him Santa Claus.
