Women of substance
Monday, August 11, 2008More than 200 women and men from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida attended the second annual "Queens' Gala: A Night in White" held Saturday, July 19, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Orangeburg.
The aim of Queens' Gala Inc. is to empower and encourage women from every walk of life to reach their goals in life, founder and president Jennifer Robinson said. Twelve women who have overcome obstacles and possess leadership abilities were honored, and one of them was selected as the Woman of Substance.
