Wreck causes 4 to go to hospital
By T&D Staff Monday, August 18, 2008Four people were transported to the hospital Monday after a mid-morning wreck on Highway 33 in Orangeburg.
The accident took place near the intersection with Whittaker Parkway when a 1995 Chevrolet van operated by Karen Poston, 47, of Eutawville, and a 2006 Toyota pickup operated by 62-year-old Marcelleous Wright of Orangeburg collided.
S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Trevor Clinton said, “Ms. Poston failed to yield the right of way to Mr. Wright, who was traveling north on 33. Ms. Poston has been charged with failure to yield right of way.”
Wright, Poston and Poston’s two passengers were all transported to the Regional Medical Center.
None have life-threatening injuries, Clinton said.
