Man not allowed in Wal-Mart arrested there
By T&D StaffTuesday, August 19, 2008An Orangeburg man would have been thrown out of Wal-Mart Monday but the company wanted its computer back first, according to an incident report.
Security officials with the North Road business notified deputies around 2 p.m. about an unwanted man spotted in the store.
Security said the man had previously been placed on “trespass notice at all Wal-Marts in the United States,” the report indicates.
Wal-Mart employees watched as the subject legitimately purchased a $600 computer. The subject then left and put the computer in his vehicle.
However, Wal-Mart employees alleged he then re-entered the store and picked up another Dell computer while brandishing the receipt for the initial computer.
Andrae Joshua McMillan, of 139 Folly Road, Orangeburg, was arrested and charged with third-offense shoplifting.

* A Good Samaritan’s actions Sunday helped an elderly woman return home safely.
Around 8:15 p.m., workers at Tyler Restmore Home notified police that a 68-year-old female wandered away from the Sellers Ave. facility.
The workers said the woman had done so in the past but had always returned. They stated the woman suffers from dementia and has gotten lost before.
As police patrolled the neighborhood, a man with a woman in tow approached them. The man said that he had seen police searching the streets. Then the man saw the woman, who appeared lost. He guessed she may be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
Sizing the situation up, the Good Samaritan asked the woman to follow him. He then led her to the patrolling officers who then took her back to the Sellers Ave. home.
