TAYLORS -- Fatz Cafe, the 45-unit Southeastern casual dining restaurant chain, was recently included in Chain Leader magazine’s first annual “Top 50 Chains Under 50 Units” list as one of the top emerging restaurant chains in the country.

The “Top 50 Chains Under 50 Units” recognizes restaurant chains that have disciplined tactics to compete with large national players and deliver a dining experience that connects with customers. Fifty chains were profiled in Chain Leader’s August 2008 issue based on the chain’s number of units and system wide sales from 2007.

Fatz Cafe secured spot #42 on the list and was recognized specifically for bringing fresh components to the restaurant’s offering such as the company’s new cocktail program and dessert menu.

Fatz opened five restaurants in 2008 and has two more restaurants planned before the year’s end.
