Allison Leigh Hewitt and Clarence Wade Strider, both of Orangeburg, S.C., proudly announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ms. Mary Katharyn Scoville Oliver of Orangeburg and Mr. Ronnie Kaye Hewitt of Bonneau, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Owen (Pot) Scoville of Orangeburg and Mrs. Mary Etta Hewitt of Cordova, S.C. and the late Mr. Joe Hewitt.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sherman Strider of Orangeburg. He is the grandson of Ms. Myrna R. Hawthorn of Phoenix, AZ.

Miss Hewitt is a 1994 graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory Schools and a 2000 graduate of the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is currently employed as the property manager for Moore Company Rentals, a division of Century 21 The Moore Group in Orangeburg.

Mr. Strider is a 1991 graduate of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School and a 1994 graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree in Milling and Food Sciences. He earned a Masters of Finance degree in 2003. He currently owns his own business in Orangeburg.

The wedding is planned for October 25, 2008, at the Episcopal Church of the

Redeemer in Orangeburg. Reverend Doctor Frank Larisey will perform the ceremony.
