City budgets to get final OK

Orangeburg City Council is expected to give third and final reading to its budget and the budget of its Department of Public Utilities when it gathers tonight. Council will meet at 7 p.m.

In addition, council is scheduled to:

Hear from Jeffery McMorrow about amendments to city ordinances.

Consider a proclamation declaring “Compassion” the character trait for Sept.

Consider giving third reading to adjustments to the 2007-2008 budget.

Enter executive session to discuss contractual matters concerning the Chamber of Commerce and the proposed location of student housing, business and convention center.
