Thomas Blaine Stuart

Graveside services for Thomas Blaine Stuart will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at Cameron Memorial Cemetery in Cameron, with Pastor Herman Yoos of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Columbia, officiating. The family will receive friends at the home and after the service.

Mr. Stuart died Saturday, Oct. 11.

He was born in Marion, Oregon, the son of the late Robert Franklin and Edyth Patton Stuart. He graduated from the Army Air Force Radio School at Scott Field, Illinois. He retired from the USAF as a Master Sergeant after 22 years having served in World War II in both the European and South Pacific Theaters. He then worked in the Engineering Department for WIS-TV as a transmitter operator and the last two of his 21 years as Studio Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of the Retired Enlisted Association, AARP, Prime Times, Capitol Senior Center and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow, Frances C. Stuart of Columbia; son, Wayne D. Stuart of Lake Murray.

Memorials may be made to the Cameron Cemetery Endowment Fund, Cameron, SC 29039 or a charity of one's choice.

Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.
