Orangeburg should have more crime watches

I recently met Police Officer Sgt. Polidore at the Orangeburg Fairgrounds. The wonderful smell of popcorn drew me to her booth. She was passing out information about starting a neighborhood crime watch in different areas around Orangeburg. Normally this would not have interested me, except this officer was very dedicated and passionate about the cause.

She was very pretty, very polite and really did justice to the uniform she wore. With the rise in crime, not just here but all over with gangs and worse! She really had me thinking about starting one in my area, even though I’m from another town.

If all the officers in this town are as dedicated and knowledgeable as this one, I am very impressed.

I would like to thank Sgt. Polidore for her time and important information on Neighborhood Crime Watches. I will surely pass this information on to my neighbors and friends.
