HAMPTON -- Kamrie Connell had a huge game to lead Edisto to the win.

The senior Elite 11 selection rushed for 83 yards and a touchdon on 11 carries and passed for 242 yards and three touchdwons. On defense, he interecepted a pass.

Derrick Jenkins rushed for 117 yards on 11 carries for the Cougars; Ruben Thomas had five catches for 90 yards, Tyler Davis had eight catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and Malik Brown scored on a 48-yard screen pass.

Offensive lineman Ryan Merritt scored the Cougars final touchdown, hustling downfield and recovering a fumble in the end zone.

Defensively, Randal Black had nine tackles; Lawrence Buck and Brown each had six tackles. Randall Williams added an intercetpion.

The Cougars led 14-13 at the half and 21-13 at the end of the third.

Edisto (5-4, 2-2) travels to Ridgeland Friday.
