Kamrie Connell can add another award to his list of gridiron accomplishments.

Edisto's lone Elite 11 selection has been tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week. The senior quarterback was 13-of-19 passing for 247 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Connell, last week's Defensive Player of the Week, also accounted for eight tackles and an interception in the Cougars' 34-13 win over Wade Hampton. In two weeks, Connell has racked up 624 yards in total offense and 25 tackles at safety.

Orangeburg Prep's Thacker Staley is this week's Defensive Player of the Week. The Indians' sophomore outside linebacker recorded 14 tackles in his team's 12-0 win against Porter-Gaud. Staley is the second on the OPS roster with 108 tackles.

Both Connell and Staley will be honored at Thursday's Orangeburg Touchdown Club meeting that will be held at the Old Cinema in Orangeburg Mall. University of Tennessee assistant athletic director John Curry will be the guest speaker just days before the Volunteers are scheduled to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and tickets will be sold at the door.
