Be realistic about Obama

I have heard people say they wouldn’t vote for a black man and that made me feel a certain pain in my heart. We have come so far but people still hold that old racial thing in their hearts while we are nearly sinking beneath the waves of this violent ocean of bank fraud money laundering and crooked CEOs stealing from all of us.

They would rather stand there and let those same crooks keep their hands in their pockets, losing their homes, just to say they voted for the white guy. Some say, “I just can’t bring myself to vote for a black man. Barack just scares the BeJesus out of me.” I heard a woman say that. As stupid as that was, all I could do was shake my head and wonder what world is she living in? What should scare the BeJesus out of her, whatever that is, is millions of us out of homes and penniless ready to rip each other apart as I have said might happen for the past decade or so. Now it’s here.

Wake up people! Barack Obama isn’t going to run the country by himself! He is a Harvard law society chairperson for crying out loud! He’s going to surround himself with the best financial minds he can get, to include his friend, the richest man in the world, Warren Buffett. Does anyone honestly in their right mind believe that he can do worse than George W. Bush has done? Now he wants to get his whining protege in the White House so he and Karl Rove can continue to give us the business until they start World War III.

There is no way Barack is going to have some inexperienced bunch of black dudes hanging out at the White House throwing parties and blasting loud music as some of you might think. Can’t you just see it, the White House lawn all lined up with jacked up Fords and Chevys with 24-inch rims gleaming in the sunlight. Then there is Obama and the brothers high fiving each other all day and speaking Ebonics with their pants hanging off their butts. They’re showing a lot of underwear and butt cracks. Let’s get real you all! We need a change now before we’re all doomed. If he doesn’t do as he said, we can impeach him can’t we? But let’s give him and his team a chance before nukes are the only way to get even with those who may try to hurt us again. Think about it!

" Everyone was saying there needed to be a change. WE ONLY GOT ONE-HALF OF THE CHANGE IN 2008. The Congress was Democratic before the election and still is. Therefore we have not had a change. And, by the way, the Economic mess did not start until the Democrats took over Congress in January, 2007. "

" So what the President is black. Does that make him less of a man or not able to solve any problems that may arise. So what he is black. I voted for Senator now President Elect Obama because of his issue and what he is trying to do. Some of you seem to throw around words like socialist when the first time you heard it was in a Senator McCain speech. After watching the speeches on November 4th I was upset but, not surprised, that the supporters of McCain predominantly white booed when President Elect Obama's name was mention. When the speech was given by President Elect Obama and Senator McCain's name was mentioned, not one boo from a crowd of multi races. That shows that racism and bigotry is still alive and well even in the Republican Party. So boo, cry, wine or whatever but do not get it mistaken. Senator Barack Obama is your 44th President and may be on your currency like other trendsetting Presidents (Lincoln) "

" Read the facts about Obama for yourself. I have read all of his books. he talks about every aspect of his life from childhood to the present. An uninformed person is the one who causes chaos in this world. We need to stop loking at he race of a person and look at the facts. Wake up it is 2008 not 1968. Be educated and not street wiser. "

" TAS- It is apparent you are alluding to race in your post. Sadly that is the only thing you focus on. Why not focus on the fact that obamessiah's platform mirrors the one posted on the socialist party USA's website. It is quite a double standard to imply that I am against the man due to his race, and not highlight the fact that 93% of blacks are voting FOR him because of race. Although I don't owe you any explanation, suffice it to say that I am against obama because he is an inexperienced, socialist, liberal who surrounds himself with those who seek to do this country harm. He wants to take from those that work, to give to those that don't, while allowing his relatives to live in homeless shelters and be here illegally. I am also against anyone who votes present 123 times in the senate because they don't have enough backbone to take a stand for anything for fear it may damage their political chances. That is not change. "

" confisus_sum you and the other slow and confused thinkers like you here are sounding more and more worried about the outcome of this election. Something other then experience or lack of experience has to be troubling you, because at last check none of these candidates have had the experience of making any presidential decisions. Besides, who could do worst then Bush. "

" Mr Coles,

I'm not voting for the black guy...because he's a socialist/communist with Marxist ideas, because his policies will take from people who have worked to achieve and give to people that haven't.

Now, if you put Michael Steele, a fiscal conservative black guy, I'd take him over McCain anyday.

It's not about race...and when it comes to the safety, sovereignty and security of the US, I, and most rational people (and they far outweigh the racist jackasses that are out there) are color-blind in the ballot box.

In fact, the only people making race a big deal in this election is Obama, and his supporters. "

" Captivated: Please don't expect me to crawl in a hole and hide if the obamessiah wins. I will do to him what the liberal media has done to George Bush for his entire presidency. I will point out any and all faults, whether true or perceived. I will assume much and investigate little. Unless the T&D refuses to publish my posts, I am here to stay. "

" You guys need to slack up, accept the fact that Obama/Biden will win, and save yourselves any more frustration. BTW, the PITY PARTY at confisus_sum's mansion will be starting promptly at 0700am on November 4th. "

" What I resent most is that if I tell you I'm not voting for Obama you immediately play the race card. And no, we cannot impeach him, tried that with his buddy Clinton and didn't work, right...even when everyone knew Clinton lied. And we don't know who his associates are, we don't really know anything about him, only what he want's the public to know. Warren Buffet is not an economist, he is a self-made billionaire, that is a big difference. The deals that Buffet makes the general public cannot make. "

darla wrote on Nov 1, 2008 9:25 AM:

" Oh, you think Biden is a good mind? Quit your sleep walking. If his picks are like anything that of Biden, then we are in a lot of dip Obama do do. You are a sad mind reader, because I have never heard anyone say they would not vote for Obama because he is Black. I've heard, they will not vote for him because of his socialist attitude and the damage he will do to the fabric of this country. Continue to wear those blinders and you to will wake up in a little cubby hole in four years, if your Obama is voted in. "

confisus_sum wrote on Nov 1, 2008 8:50 AM:

" I am beginning to think that Mr. Coles is suffering from severe paranoia. He is so fearful that his candidate is not going to get elected that he must interject race into his argument, as Obama does, to attempt to "guilt" people into voting for him. The fact that Obama is the most inexperienced candidate in history doesn't seem to matter. "
