Voorhees Lady Tigers off to a 2-0 start

Denmark -- The Voorhees College Lady Tigers defeated Edward Waters College in NAIA women’s college basketball on Saturday evening in double overtime by the score of 79-78. Starting point guard Mary Cason led a balanced attack with 13 points, followed by Leighla Holder and Natasha Carr with 12 points. Also, Jennifer Perry and Rhadja Page chipped in 12 points. Former Hunter Kinard Tyler High School standout Courtney Milhouse knocked down 10 points. Voorhees led at the half 32-27. Thursday night, the Lady Tigers picked up a win against Columbia College 75-58. Rhadja Page, Leighla Holder and Jaquetta Cole all led the way with 15 points apiece. Voorhees was up at halftime, 38-19. Next up for the Lady Tigers is a home matchup against Brewton Parker College (GA).

Kountryside Golf Tourney

Kountryside Golf Course will hold a Par-3 Night Tournament on Friday, November 7. Supper will be served at 6:00 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 7:00 pm.
