Variety of cultures on display at annual show

The community is invited to learn more about the variety of cultures that make up the city of Orangeburg and surrounding communities at the seventh annual Multicultural Variety Show, set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Stevenson Auditorium.

Featured at this year's event will be soloist Roger Jenkins, the Ujimaa Dance Troupe from South Carolina State University, 2008 Orangeburg Idol Eden Graves, the Trinity United Methodist Men's Chorus, the Trinity Rockettes, Aysha Alamgir of Bangladesh, jazz and gospel performances and members of the community representing Africa, India, Pakistan and the Philippines sharing about their native cultures.

Money raised at the Multicultural Variety Show will go to support Claflin University and a variety of local charities.
