Man pleads guilty in Holly Hill robbery
By RICHARD WALKER, T&D Staff Writer Saturday, November 15, 2008An 18-year-old Vance man admitted this week to taking part in the May 12 robbery of a Holly Hill business.
Jonathan Snell, of 236 Nimbus Road, pleaded guilty to strong-arm robbery in connection with the case.
Circuit Court Judge Ferrell Cothran sentenced Snell under the Youthful Offender's Act not to exceed six years.
Snell was part of what police say was a duo who entered the Farmer's Supply Company near Holly Hill and tied up the store keeper with an electrical cord.
The store owner said after the robbery one individual grabbed him around the neck and began tying him up while the other man took money from the register.
The two robbers netted less than $50, according to a warrant against Snell.
The case against a co-defendant is still pending.
