Varsity Boys Basketball

n Bowman Academy 41,

Orangeburg Christian 35


Tyler Garrett fell one point shy of a double-double to help the Bulldogs win their season opener against Orangeburg Christian.

Jordan Gunnells led Bowman Academy with with 11 points. Garrett was credited with nine points and 11 rebounds while Nick Fortana finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

OCA was led by Lawrence Floyd with 11 points. Chase Ridgeway posted nine points in the loss.

Bowman Academy (1-0) will travel to St. George to face Dorchester Academy on Friday at 4 p.m. Orangeburg Christian (0-1) will play in the Grace Christian Tournament in Columbia on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

JV Girls Basketball

Orangeburg Christian 11


The Lady Bulldogs opened their season with a 9-point victory over Orangeburg Christian.

Bowman Academy was led by Jessica Cline with eight points. Sydney Jones tallied six points and Charlie Smith ended the night with four.

Kali Weber was the top scorer for OCA with five points and two steals. Amber Reynolds gathered four points and five rebounds in the loss.

Bowman Academy (1-0) will take on Dorchester Academy in St. George on Friday at 4 p.m. Orangeburg Christian (0-1) will play in the Grace Christian Tournament in Columbia on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
