Election is statement about Orangeburg
Thursday, November 20, 2008During the weeks before the election, Orangeburg County Voter Registration and the people of Orangeburg must be commended for the positive way and the manner in which the election was carried out. This was one of the biggest turnouts for any election that I have ever witnessed. Most of all the enthusiasm that was shown by blacks and whites.
Orangeburg proved that we are all human beings and that we must work together for a common cause. Hats off to Mr. Jackson, Voter Registration Office, Mr. Clark and all staff members who took the time out of their busy schedule and pitched in and helped with the voting. Thanks to all organizations, churches, elected officials, students (college/universities and high school) for the cooperation given to all of us during the election.
But most of all, thank all of you for helping to make Orangeburg a better place to live.
What a wonderful world!
