Hot card used to buy fast food
By T&D Staff Saturday, November 22, 2008An Orangeburg man says someone took his wife's debit card at Burger King and used it at McDonald's, according to an ODPS incident report.
On Wednesday, the man reported his wife left her debit card at the Burger King on Chestnut Street.
She later discovered someone used it at Belk's, Foot Locker, JCPenney and McDonald's. Foot Locker said it may have surveillance tape of the person who used the card.
In other reports:
* Downtown businesses aren't the only ones hit with BB guns lately.
An officer reported spotting a hole in a glass pane at the Chestnut Street fire station. Tuesday's report followed a rash of similar incidents downtown.
* On Wednesday, police discovered a tan Ford Windstar reported stolen in the county behind the Columbia Road Piggly Wiggly building.
* The Light House Apostolic Church on Glover Street reported someone broke into the church van and broke the steering column, causing $1,000 in damage.
