Branchville woman's year-round hobby brings joy, revives memories

BRANCHVILLE - Margaret Rhoad Garris Frazee is a Branchville native who has a year-round hobby - collecting pieces for her huge display of miniature villages which are devoted to all of the major holidays and then some.

To have the opportunity to view the unique collection, which features so much detail and many animated fixtures, is amazing. And, the sentiment tied to Frazee's collection is touching.

"I love my village. My children started it for me, and every year they added to it," Frazee says. "My son, Marion Garris, bought certain pieces, and my daughter, Marilyn, bought some of the others. Marilyn passed away a few years ago, and I have added some structures since then.

"But, whenever I come in this room, I always think of her."
