ROWESVILLE - Entries are being sought for the Town of Rowesville's 2008 Christmas Parade, "A Storybook Christmas."

The parade will roll at 6 p.m. this Thursday, Dec. 4, with parade units scheduled to line up at Rowesville Park on Camelia Drive and Park Street. Signs will direct participants to the park. The parade will proceed up River Drive and end at Highway 21.

The parade committee will award first- and second-place trophies to floats that follow the "Storybook Christmas" theme. Trophies will also be awarded to first- and second-place bands. The awards will be presented following the parade at the judges' float on River Drive beside the Methodist Church.

Wrapping up the evening's holiday festivities in Rowesville will be a fireworks display presented by TNT Fireworks and Brian Mixon on River Drive, immediately following the parade.

For more information about the Rowesville Christmas Parade, call Town Clerk Maralene Simpson at 803-534-2748 or 803-534-2745.

In the event of rain, the parade will be cancelled for this year.
