A woman called deputies Saturday night after discovering her vehicle was missing from the hospital, according to an OCSO incident report.

Deputies issued a notice asking other agencies to be on the lookout for the man.

Country Inn and Suites employees called deputies around 11:12 p.m. to report an armed robbery.

The employees said a man entered the business asking about room rates. He then lifted his shirt to reveal what appeared to be a handgun in the waist of his pants and demanded the cash drawer.

After getting a small amount of money, the gunman fled the motel on foot, the employees said.

The employees described the suspect as a 5-foot-10-inch black male weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a black and white hat, a blue hoodie, blue jeans and had braids down to his shoulders.

If anyone has any information on the subject, they are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC or the Sheriff's Office at 803-534-3550.

The man then jumped over the counter and pried open a drawer with the crowbar, they said. He then fled on foot with a small amount of cash.

Employees described that robber as a black male standing 6-foot-1-inch tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie with red writing on it and black pants.

* Three women went to jail Friday after a three-way brawl over one man in a John C. Calhoun Drive business, according to an ODPS incident report.

An Aiken woman told police that around 9:15 a.m., she and a friend were in her motel room on John C. Calhoun Drive when they heard glass shatter. The two women claimed they looked out of the window and saw a former girlfriend of the Aiken woman's current boyfriend in the parking lot getting into a truck belonging to AutoZone.

About 10 minutes after that incident, police were dispatched to AutoZone in reference to an ongoing fight. The Aiken woman admitted to police she followed the AutoZone truck back to the parts store where she jumped the former girlfriend, the report said.

Witnesses told police the two women were attacking the former girlfriend at the business.

All three were taken into custody. The two women were charged with simple assault and battery while the former girlfriend is facing a charge of malicious injury to personal property, the report said.
