MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Lawyers handling the bankruptcy for Hard Rock Park have asked for an extra three months to deal with its legal issues.
In documents filed Monday, the lawyers say they have been concentrating so hard on finding a buyer for the Myrtle Beach amusement park that they haven’t been able to review other legal actions against the facility.
Attorneys say they want to secure a buyer for the park so it can open on time for the 2009 season.
The $400 million, 55-acre amusement park opened in April, with roller coasters based on Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” and the Eagles’ “Life in the Fast Lane.”
The park filed for bankruptcy protection in September.

6 months later, broke probaly because I think the admission was to high and plus special events surcharges, also park packages/passes were crazy.
I can also imagine what kind of insurance premiums they pay right near the ocean "AKA hurricane country" talk about being in a flood prone area!
What Myrtle Beach needs is a Dave and Busters, when I lived in Florida I loved that place, its all about having fun, but bring your wallet. "
